While this blog (and therefore me) tries to cater for anyone living overseas I can never deny missions runs through my veins, it is my lifeblood, my heartbeat. It is who I am and what I do.
Jamie, the very worst missionary, has been someone I have followed on her blog and facebook for a couple years now. She says what I am often thinking. If you are offended by a good christian girl saying it like it is then don’t read her blog. However, you read this one, so I am guessing that isn’t a problem.
A friend posted this yesterday and I love it. It is about God taking our crap and making it beautiful.
If you don’t read the whole post which is amazing let me copy and past my favorite part….
That first time I stood on Glass Beach, I cried – I cried, and I thought, “This is what God does!”… God takes our crap offerings, our messed up lives and all of our garbage, and He turns it around. He makes it Beautiful, somehow. Against all odds and despite our own easy skepticism, He Redeems what seems hopelessly trashed, He Rebuilds what seems irreparably broken. Somewhere along the line, this God – the God who will make all things new – became the centerpiece of our lives.
