The next generation and our attitude

I have been following a blog for some time called Leading and Loving It. It has been an incredible source of strength and encouragement for me and today Jessica Cornelius posted something that just goes hand in hand with my ‘Choose Happiness’ mantra.

“We all know that ministry can be challenging and demanding.   And what I observed in watching our children a few weeks ago, was that their eyes and hearts are affected by what they see in us.  They watch how we handle disappointment.  They watch how we treat others.  They watch how we press on.  And I took note that thriving in ministry for myself and loving what I do is not just important for me, but for the next generation.”

Just substitute ‘ministry’ for ‘living overseas’ . Our attitude influences so many others including our own children.

Choose happiness, choose it today, choose it now.
