Pancake Day

One of the joys of being cross cultural is that you can celebrate more holidays!

We celebrate ‘Pancake Day’ and still call it that. I have been very poorly today and felt very much under the weather, so although I didn’t eat any of these…

…I made them for everyone else.

It is always a good chance for us to talk about as a family why we celebrate Pancake Day, Lent, Easter. What we may be giving up or doing differently during the next 40 days in the lead up to Easter.

And, yes, we eat crepes with lemon and sugar.

Is ‘Pancake Day’ the English version of Fat Tuesday? I saw others talking about having pancakes yesterday on FB, and I was wondering what culture that derived from.

I wondered on Tuesday if this would be a holiday you’d be keeping! :o)
