Vacation the start

I know we’ve been back over a week now and thank you for being patient….I’ll try to do this systematically for you!

Day one
Some 12+ hours in the car! Everyone is pumped about going on vacation! It was a fairly uneventful day. We arrived in Valdosta, GA ate at a ‘fancy restaurant’ as picked by Abigail aka Cracker Barrel!

We hit the hay after baths and reading.

Day two
We arrive early afternoon at the house after stopping by the store. The kiddios are PUMPED! All they want to do is jump in the pool 🙂 So we did! As far as they were concerned this was a small slice of heaven. A pool and weather that meant they could pretty much swim any time they wanted.

One thing we instantly learned is Jacob was now tall enough to be in the pool without an adult. What a change it makes to a vacation when you don’t HAVE to be in the pool every time the children are!

Day three
I think we pretty much hung out at ‘home’. The one thing I totally remember is Abigail waking me up at 6:30am with her swimsuit on asking if she could get in the pool – hahahaha. I think we told her at 9am 🙂 I do remember having coffee that first morning by the pool too.

We also had a squirrel visit that first day! The pools in Florida are screened in and this little guy was pretty cute climbing on the screen!

We also had a couple little lizards that visited us every day. We stayed on the ‘Nature Coast’ and from day we saw LOTS of nature! More to come on that….

You will also see this little guy again on our last day!
