Changing Seasons

While it is not ‘officially’ summer here Memorial Day Weekend (last weekend) is the unofficial start of summer!

Someone flipped the switch over the weekend and it is now HOT out – yea!!

It has really made me stop and think about several things including clothes – no surprise there since I’ve gone from jeans and cardigans to shorts, flip flops and t-shirts! Oh yea and a I put a swimsuit on for the first time in around six months (not counting our one ‘winter swim’)!

All that white flesh exposed caused me to think about clothes and cultures. I have at least a couple posts about this over the next few days so keeps checking back!

PS why the picture above? Because the Royal wedding first sparked this train of thinking when everyone over here kept asking ‘Why do they all have hats on?’ Ans: Because they do! It’s tradition!

As a teen I loved hats! Had several and wore one to church most weeks. Even had one with netting to pull down in front Now Ashley loves hats and wishes I still had some of my old ones but that was much too long ago to still have those! Still like hats really just not something I spend money on these days.
